Admissions
General Admissions Information
Please call the school to make an appointment for your personalized tour. - 615-269-0568
The best way to understand the
qualities of a Saint Ann education is to experience it first hand. Therefore, we
suggest you schedule a personalized tour of our campus during school hours. It
is our philosophy that there is no one school right for all children Parents
should spend considerable time evaluating the unique needs of their student,
the needs of the family, and the type educational environment desired for
their child. Each school in Nashville is different and parents have the
difficult task of matching their needs with the set of components offered by
each school.
Kindergarten Admissions
The formal application process
for incoming Kindergarten students begins in January with a one-on-one
assessment administered by the kindergarten teacher. The assessment is scored
in about one week, after which we will contact you to set up an appointment
with the principal to discuss the results of the assessment and complete
registration materials.
In early May, your child will spend 2-3 hours in the Kindergarten classroom.
This will allow your child to become acquainted with the classroom, new
incoming kindergarten classmates, and the Kindergarten teacher
Admissions for Grades
1-8
STEP ONE:
Set up a meeting with the principal and schedule a school tour.
-
STEP TWO:
Schedule a "visitation day" for your child. During this day, your
student will enter the life of St. Ann School by participating in all
aspects of our program. Your child will be assigned a "buddy" who will
be your child's partner while at St. Ann.
At the conclusion of this day we, student, parent, and faculty, will meet to
discuss questions and observations, with the goal to assess whether St. Ann
School is a good fit for your child.
It is important to bring past academic records (report cards and
standardized tests) to this meeting.
-
STEP THREE:

After the admissions meeting, we mail your letter of acceptance and a St.
Ann School application. Returning the completed application, along
with the $150 application fee, will secure your child's enrollment for the
upcoming year.
-
STEP FOUR:
After being enrolled, the family will begin receiving weekly newsletters and
important information as a means of fostering the relationship between the
family and the school. This relationship is critical to a child's
success in school.
-
STEP FIVE:
An orientation will be provided for the parents of newly enrolled students
in early August.
